Up From the Ashes: A Faith-Based Women’s Betrayal Trauma Group
Betrayal Trauma Support for Women
Betrayal changes more than a relationship. It can change the way you see yourself, your memories, your faith, and even what you believe is real.
What Is Up From the Ashes?
Up From the Ashes is a faith-based betrayal trauma support group created for women navigating the aftermath of infidelity, sexual betrayal, deception, or other significant breaches of trust within an intimate relationship.
This is a place to begin making sense of what happened, understand what betrayal has done to you emotionally, and learn how to move forward with clarity and strength.
Why Does Betrayal Hurt So Deeply?
Discovering betrayal can affect far more than your feelings toward your partner.
You may find yourself replaying conversations, questioning past memories, searching for answers, struggling to sleep, feeling angry one moment and devastated the next, or wondering how you missed what was happening.
You may even feel pressure to decide quickly whether you will stay, leave, forgive, reconcile, or "move on."
You don't have to have those answers yet.
Betrayal can deeply disrupt your sense of emotional safety and your ability to trust—not only another person, but sometimes your own judgment. Part of healing is learning to trust yourself again.
What Will We Work Through?
Up From the Ashes provides a supportive environment where women can better understand betrayal trauma while developing practical tools for healing.
Together, we explore topics such as:
Understanding betrayal trauma and your responses to it
Grief, anger, fear, and emotional overwhelm
Triggers and intrusive thoughts
Healthy boundaries and accountability
Rebuilding trust in yourself
Separating forgiveness from reconciliation
Recognizing unhealthy relationship patterns
Rediscovering your identity outside of the betrayal
Making decisions from clarity rather than fear
Integrating faith into the healing process
You will never be pressured to stay in your relationship, leave your relationship, forgive before you're ready, or minimize what happened.
Your healing matters regardless of what happens with the relationship.
Why Heal in a Group?
Betrayal can be incredibly isolating.
There are things you may be afraid to tell family or friends. People who haven't experienced betrayal may offer well-intentioned advice that leaves you feeling even more misunderstood.
There is something powerful about sitting with women who don't need an explanation for why you're still hurting.
This group offers a confidential, compassionate space to learn, process, ask difficult questions, and discover that you are not alone.
Who Leads Up From the Ashes?
Up From the Ashes is led by Amanda Hullum, BCMMHC, a Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach and Certified Biblical Counselor.
Amanda has years of experience working with women, couples, parents, and families through relational wounds, broken trust, unhealthy relationship dynamics, and difficult seasons of rebuilding.
She also brings personal understanding of betrayal to this work.
That combination of professional training, years of walking alongside hurting people, personal experience, and faith shapes the way this group is led… with compassion, honesty, practical tools, and a willingness to address the hard things rather than simply encouraging women to "get over it."
Amanda's approach recognizes that healing and accountability can exist together and that biblical forgiveness does not require ignoring harmful behavior, abandoning healthy boundaries, or pretending something didn't hurt.
Is This Group for Me?
If betrayal has left you wondering…
Why can't I stop thinking about it?
How do I know what's true anymore?
Can I ever trust again?
How am I supposed to forgive this?
Do I stay or do I leave?
Why am I still struggling when everyone thinks I should be okay?
Where is God in all of this?
…you may have found the right place.
You don't have to know what happens next.
You don't have to have your relationship figured out.
And you don't have to pretend you're okay.
You can begin with healing.
Up From the Ashes
What happened to you may become part of your story, but it does not have to become the end of it.
There is life after betrayal. There is clarity after confusion. There is strength after devastation.
And, little by little, you can rise from the ashes.
